Job Description for Support Worker within LSS

At Frösunda Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a support worker at a group home in Upplands Väsby/Sollentuna. The group homes are centrally located in pleasant residential areas with good transportation links. Nearby, there are grocery stores and a couple of restaurants, and there are also opportunities for walks in the area. Do you want to be a part of our team? In the role of support worker, you will base your work on the individual's needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. You will assist with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to motivate and create conditions for the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. The tasks of a support worker include documentation, creating implementation plans, and being a contact person.

Examples of common tasks

• Support and motivate the client for increased quality of life and create conditions for participation.
• Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, and social presence
• Outings, walks, training, and activities
• Documentation and reporting
• Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, and making beds

Working hours are scheduled between days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

• Education in healthcare and nursing, nursing assistant training
• Extensive experience in LSS
• Experience working with clear pedagogical methods
• Driver's license (B) is required for certain positions
• You are unpretentious and used to working in a team
• You have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing
