Are you looking for a job that is independent, challenging, and where the keyword is flexibility? You have now found a position that may suit you. We are looking for a foster care consultant who, with their knowledge and experience, can complement our workgroup.

As a foster care consultant, your main task will be to recruit and assess foster homes and provide support and guidance while the foster home has a placement. Your responsibilities also include coordinating and participating in follow-up meetings and collaboration meetings related to the placements you are responsible for. You will also be involved in the planning and implementation of training offered to foster homes.

As a foster care consultant, you will work from home, and a large part of your job will involve traveling for physical meetings and guidance in foster homes.

Your role as a foster care consultant also requires the ability to build good relationships with both foster homes and other stakeholders involved with the placed child. You should be able to work closely with foster homes and contribute to creating a positive development for the placed children and the foster homes you are responsible for.

About the Company

Nordsunda is a company that provides consultant-supported foster homes for children and youth on behalf of municipalities. The company started in 2015 and is well established but also growing. Nordsunda has framework agreements with Sweden's Municipalities and Regions as well as several other municipalities across Sweden. Our headquarters is located in Umeå, and we currently have consultants in Västerbotten, Norrbotten, Västernorrland, and Gävleborg.

About the Position

Who are you?

• You are flexible, have a positive attitude towards challenges, are always ready for changes, and have the ability to adapt to the current situation.
• You have a good ability to communicate in both speech and writing.
• You enjoy creating and maintaining good and rewarding relationships with colleagues, foster homes, and other authorities you come into contact with in your role as a foster care consultant.
• You have a good ability to work independently. You set goals, plan, meet deadlines, are methodical, meticulous, and follow the laws and guidelines that govern the work.
• You are engaged in your work, passionate about social work, and have the ability to listen, offer support, and provide guidance based on the needs of each individual, as we are careful to tailor our guidance to the existing needs.

Requirements for Competence and Knowledge

• You are a qualified Social Worker or have education that the employer deems equivalent.
• At least 2-4 years of experience working with foster care and/or other work within social services where you have gained experience in foster care.
• Driver's license B and access to your own car.

Information about the Position

• Full-time 40 hours a week.
• Immediate start, as agreed.
• Frequent travel is required for the position.
• You will work from home.
• Probationary employment applies, which may lead to a permanent position.
