The school is newly built with beautiful facilities and a fantastic playground. We have grown in recent years and are now an F-6 school with approximately 470 students.

At Skogsängsskolan, we work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work preventively to create conditions for students' learning and safety. The school operates with the fundamental view of placing the student at the center from a holistic perspective. We consciously work with differentiated and language-developing methods for higher goal achievement. We have both a counselor and a school nurse full-time and a student health team that works preventively. To succeed in this work, we focus on norms, values, and creating safety and study peace. Part of this work includes having an organized and well-functioning recess activity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school nurse, you bring medical expertise to support the educational work and student health efforts. You work proactively and preventively with health-related topics. You also offer our students health visits and vaccinations.

You belong to our student health team. We work preventively and have a complete team consisting of you as the school nurse, counselor, social educator, special teacher, preventive social worker, and school leader. As part of the student health team, you will have time to collaborate with your colleagues with several meeting opportunities during the week. Since the school is new, you will be in a newly built room with the counselor as your closest neighbor, which also allows for collaboration. The administration is also nearby.

As a newcomer, you will receive a good introduction through the medical student health services, where you will also participate in joint professional development and group supervision together with the school nurses. You will have the opportunity for knowledge exchange and contact with other school nurses within the municipality, as you are part of a network group.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a nurse with further education as a school nurse, district nurse (open health care), or health care for children/youth. Experience in health work with children/youth or collaboration with other functions is an advantage.

We see you as a person with an understanding of our students' differences and the ability to meet them based on their situation and personality. You can independently take responsibility for your planning and areas of responsibility. Additionally, you have a good ability to collaborate with other professionals at the school.
