Our client is looking for an experienced Category Buyer with expertise in Soft & Shaped Materials. The assignment involves establishing and driving a long-term category strategy as well as contributing to both strategic and operational purchasing work.

The client wishes for the consultant to be on-site at least three days a week.

Location: Stockholm | Start: December 1, 2025 | End: August 31, 2026

About the Assignment

The consultant is expected to:

• Analyze spend data and identify savings opportunities, trends, and risks.
• Build and develop a competitive supplier base.
• Design and implement a category strategy in close collaboration with the client's purchasing team and stakeholders.
• Drive supplier performance within QDCS&T (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability & Technology).
• Negotiate and secure sustainable contracts and lead supplier meetings.
• Contribute to capacity and risk management within the supply chain.
• Support budgeting and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with the client's policies, laws, and ethical guidelines.

Consultant Profile

The client is looking for a consultant with:

• 5–8 years of experience in procurement/category management, preferably within soft/shaped materials or a similar area.
• Experience in establishing and driving their own category strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in combining strategy with operational execution.
• Documented experience in negotiations and supplier development.
