Senior System Safety Engineer 

We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated System Safety Engineer for an exciting and long-term consulting assignment. You will work at the forefront of technology with safety in focus and play a key role in the development of robust system solutions within a safety-critical environment.

Your Role

As a System Safety Engineer, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that products and systems meet high safety requirements throughout their lifecycle. You identify, analyze, and manage risks in both hardware and software-based systems. The work is carried out in close collaboration with several disciplines and involves both strategic and operational responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct system safety analyses and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, standards, and regulations
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as risk logs and safety reports
• Participate in technical reviews and provide support on safety-related issues
• Act as a contact person for safety issues with clients and partners
• Contribute to skill enhancement in safety within the projects
• Collaborate closely with project managers, systems engineers, and other specialists

Requirements Profile

Mandatory:

• Documented experience in system or safety work, preferably within the defense or high-tech industry
• Strong ability to identify and analyze risks in complex systems
• Independent, structured, and meticulous with strong documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience working closely with clients and in cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and documentation tools

Desirable:

• Knowledge of safety standards such as MIL-STD-882, IEC 61508, or ISO 26262
• Experience from projects related to FMV or the Armed Forces
• Experience in robust product development or systems with high reliability requirements

Qualifications

Mandatory:

Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, safety, or equivalent work experience

Desirable:

Further education or certification in system safety or risk management
