Norrqvarn Resort & Hotel by Vänerport is now seeking a site manager for a fantastic hotel & restaurant by the Göta Canal! We are looking for someone who loves to create a wonderful experience for visitors and guests, who enjoys having an overview of the situation to manage and improve the guest experience.

Norrqvarn has been an attractive tourist destination for many years during the summer, with guests both nationally and internationally coming to experience and enjoy the Göta Canal, nature, activities, good food, and create beautiful memories. Norrqvarn is a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. At Norrqvarn, there is a variety of accommodations: hotel rooms, glamping tents, unique stumps, and mushrooms. The summer restaurant serves all day, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. On-site, there is a popular mini canal, ice cream kiosk, mini garden shop, bike and canoe rentals, etc.

It is an active and exciting workplace where summer days fly by. As the site manager, you have an overview of the place, ensuring that everything runs smoothly during the days to create the best experience for our guests!

As the site manager, you play an important role both in front of and behind the scenes, supporting the staff on-site in performing their tasks correctly and ensuring that guests receive a high-level experience. Outwardly, you have guest contact as you work daily with colleagues and guests in operations.

You work daily to ensure that daily routines are followed and that the staff knows what is happening that day. Checking in with guests to ensure they are satisfied. And resolving situations and questions that arise on-site continuously in an efficient and correct manner.

You work weekly and monthly on future planning regarding bookings, reservations, weather, staffing, adjustments to routines, and planning to match reality. It is important that you work proactively and holistically to foresee what will need to be done next and to carry out the work as planned.

You work annually and seasonally to recruit, plan, and develop the business – evaluating where we are right now compared to where the hotel should be in the future.

Experience in hotel or restaurant operations is highly meritorious, but leadership experience is the top priority as much of your work will involve leading, mentoring, and collaborating with the staff at Norrqvarn. Only if everyone is on board can we together make Norrqvarn fully the fantastic place it is – so it is important that you can inspire and energize both the place and the staff.

Please note that Norrqvarn is quite far from public transport, so it is essential to either have a car and a driver's license or to live within a short distance.
