The Social Administration in Karlsborg is responsible for elderly care, care for people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, as well as individual and family care.

The administration has about 250 employees.

The position is within elderly care, located in a department for people with cognitive impairment. At Sjösidan, there are three departments with housing for people with cognitive impairment. Each department has 9 residential apartments gathered around its own kitchen and communal area. At Sjösidan, there are locking mechanisms for each apartment, meaning that only the resident has access to their apartment.

We have increased the staffing levels in the schedule and now have vacant positions available with schedules for day, evening, and weekend, evening and weekend, or schedules with only weekend shifts.

Job Responsibilities

As a care assistant, you will work from a rehabilitative approach with the individual in focus. Your task is to support in all aspects of daily life concerning care, service, and assistance based on the user's needs. You should be able to provide security and good care and perform health care tasks after delegation, such as training interventions, administering medication, and wound dressings.

Your work includes receiving written and verbal information and documenting in the operational system Viva. The operation is based on good treatment and respect for people's self-determination.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or caregiver with extensive experience working with people with cognitive impairment. We expect you to have a good demeanor characterized by respect and dignity. Our residents should feel secure, and you should be able to adapt your working methods based on the needs that exist or arise. To succeed in this role, you need to be responsible and proactive, have an easy time collaborating, and maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor. You should be attentive and engaged.

Specialist training with a focus on dementia, such as Silvia Nurse, is an advantage.
