We are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in acute psychiatry for a part-time position and summer work in the psychiatric emergency care unit. The work is varied with a wide range of patient categories and psychiatric diagnoses, which means challenging tasks. Here, we work together in teams that include doctors, nurses, caregivers, and social workers. It is a stimulating workplace that operates around the clock with varying pace, and no day is the same.

Our Operations

The Acute and Consultation Psychiatry Section consists of the adult psychiatric emergency department, which operates 24/7, a psychiatric acute care unit (PAVA) with 12 beds, a pre-hospital acute psychiatric unit (PAM), and a follow-up team. Patients come to the emergency department around the clock via self-referral/visits, but also through PAM, police, ambulance, correctional services, and other healthcare institutions.

Your Mission

Your tasks include departmental and nursing work at both basic and specialized levels. As a new employee, you will start your employment in PAVA, where the work involves acute psychiatric nursing for caregivers. After some time, you may be introduced to the emergency department to serve in both units. You will care for patients with a wide range of care needs together with other caregivers, nurses, doctors, and social workers. As a caregiver with us, you will work closely with patients, focusing on patient-centered care.

Your Qualifications

You are a trained nursing assistant or caregiver, studying to become a nurse, doctor, or psychologist, and have a genuine interest in psychiatric care work. Experience from psychiatric inpatient care or similar inpatient care is required.

Your Competence

You always put the patient first, have a respectful approach to patients, relatives, and colleagues. As a person, you are positive, engaged, and meticulous. You are flexible, responsible, and enjoy working at a varying pace. You have good prioritization skills and contribute to a good working environment. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We Offer

We offer a part-time position with an introduction alongside experienced nursing staff and summer work in the psychiatric acute care unit. You will have access to the app “Min tid” where you can register your availability for work. You should be able to be called in at short notice, day, evening, night, weekdays, and weekends. Start date according to agreement. Employment may occur before the application deadline, so do not wait to submit your application. Before hiring, a background check from the police’s suspicion and criminal record will be conducted.
