Are you looking for a job where you can make a real difference?
We are looking for someone who wants to help our users live as independently and meaningfully as possible!

We are seeking someone who wants to use their skills, experience, and commitment in a job that truly makes a difference! Your work with us will be both varied, independent, and responsible. You will be part of a team with occupational therapist colleagues, physiotherapists, and nurses, so there is good support within the group. Together, we work to develop and improve our operations.

Your Mission

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work closely with patients in their LSS accommodations. You will collaborate with relatives, residential staff, physiotherapists, nurses, and assistive technology consultants at Assistive Devices Uppsala County (HUL) and participate in collaboration with colleagues from the habilitation in Region Uppsala.

The work involves being responsible for investigation, assessment, and treatment within the occupational therapist's professional area. You will conduct individual activity assessments and evaluate environmental factors. You will perform rehabilitation interventions and prescribe assistive devices for people with disabilities in group or service housing and daily activities according to LSS decisions. You will actively participate in meetings with residential staff at their APT. The joint work also includes guidance and instruction to patients, relatives, and students. We work preventively, to maintain activities, and to enhance activities to contribute to better health and quality of life for our patients.

Your Background

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist, and having good experience in assistive device prescription is an advantage. You must have a B driver's license to easily travel to different accommodations and have good documentation and computer skills.

As a person, you are both empathetic and flexible. You can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation, and you see opportunities in changes. Your surroundings find you easy to collaborate with, and you relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Last but not least, you have the ability to see the big picture and view issues from a broader perspective.
