Your Role

Although we have been around for over 125 years, more is happening than ever at Åhléns. We want to invest in physical retail and are opening a new department store in Ingelsta Shopping! As a Visual Merchandiser at Åhléns, you will be responsible for enhancing visual sales and store displays, as well as assortment, concepts, and Åhléns brands. The role also includes responsibility for leading, inspiring, and building VM knowledge among colleagues in the store. You will join during a new establishment and may be involved in building up the store.

As a Visual Merchandiser, your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that the sales environment in the store is welcoming, inspiring, well-stocked, and sales-driven

• Ensuring that our guests are invited to a customer experience throughout the store

• Developing the store's working methods and effectively implementing guidelines

• Ensuring that the store is always a commercial trading place with a focus on sales

• Following up and analyzing sales

• Training and coaching colleagues in visual merchandising

In the store, you will be part of a passionate team of Salespeople, Sales Leaders, and Store Managers. As a Visual Merchandiser, you will be part of the store's management team, and when the Store Manager is not present, you will be ultimately responsible.

You bring with you:

• Several years of experience in visual merchandising
• Experience in sales within retail
• Ability to drive projects
• Experience in working towards and following up on set KPIs
• Experience in coaching others in visual merchandising

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for visual expression and a strong business focus. You understand how visual decisions affect sales and are motivated by creating inspiring environments that drive results.

You have an eye for detail, are structured, and good at planning and prioritizing your work. With us, the pace is high, and changes happen quickly, so you need to be solution-oriented, flexible, and confident in acting when conditions change.

You are a communicative team player who enjoys collaborating with others but is also self-driven and used to taking your own initiatives. You combine your visual skills with an understanding of customer behavior, sales, and store operations - always keeping the customer experience in focus.

About the recruitment

The position is a permanent employment of 38.25 hours per week. As the store is planned to open in mid-November, we would like you to start with us on November 1.
