As an activity coach within daily activities, you support individuals who have been granted assistance according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). This can include physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. The content of daily activities is based on activities that should contribute to increased social skills training.

As an activity coach, you provide pedagogical support and care to promote our clients' abilities and independence. You plan, prepare, and guide based on each individual's needs. This may include providing support in social activities, during meals, and with hygiene routines.

As an activity coach, you work with various communication tools such as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The job also involves documenting the client's development and needs to follow up and ensure that each participant receives the right support and assistance.

Examples of tasks:

• Support during meals, social activities, hygiene routines
• Documentation and reporting
• Personal care such as hygiene, toilet visits, support, social presence

Working hours in daily activities are scheduled during office hours.

At Dalviken's daily activities, there is room for 24 clients, and the target group has significant care needs. Technical aids are used daily. We often work in smaller groups where we ensure that everyone has a meaningful day. Activities that we offer at Dalviken include various sensory rooms, walks, music in different forms, wheelchair dancing, bathing in hot tubs, baking, and communication. For us at Dalviken, it is very important that our participants feel included and are invited to conversations; here, staff and clients always work together. Interaction is very important, and we always talk with our participants, not about them.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. You should enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed. 

• We prefer that you have a high school education in the Health and Care Program or the Child and Leisure Program, with a focus on social work.
• It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience working with LSS and have care experience.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• We prefer that you have good physical ability.

Employment type: fixed-term employment (hours)

Start date: Immediately

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and substitutes may be appointed before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required under the Aliens Ordinance.
