OmsorgsCompagniet has been established since 2003. Currently, we are located in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Örebro, and Trollhättan. OmsorgsCompagniet operates in personal assistance, respite care, escort services, housing support, supported housing, LSS housing, and training housing. We currently have about 1000 employees within the group and are fully privately owned.

We are now looking for a support pedagogue for our LSS service housing in Salem. The role will be a combination of housing support and support pedagogue. The position is full-time.

The housing is aimed at individuals belonging to group 1, young adults from 18 years old with mild intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions.

Your primary task is to plan and design support, service, and care in consultation with the client/user, which is individually tailored so that the client/user can live like others with quality of life and good living conditions.

You work to create quality care and are expected to work with all senses to contribute to a dignified and independent life for people with various types of difficulties.

The individual should receive support in managing their life, making choices, and being motivated for an active life in society.

Providing support and service to people with disabilities is a broad, varied, and challenging job. For this to work, you need to collaborate with your colleagues, in your network, and with other professionals. You are part of the work with care and activities together with the clients in a smaller work team.

Qualifications:

Requirements: Support assistant education with a focus on psychiatry and LSS. Experience with the target group and work in LSS service housing.

You should have experience in pedagogical work with the target group, structured work with clarifying pedagogy, and knowledge of different disabilities.

You are expected to work in a low-affect manner and adapt your approach based on the client's needs and issues. You work from a solution-focused perspective and need to handle unforeseen events calmly and safely. You should be able to follow instructions and legal requirements and regulations related to the work.

You have a positive attitude and good self-awareness. You are a person with professional maturity who is responsible and has a creative mindset. You have the ability to work both in a group and independently and take your own initiatives.

You need to have a strong will and drive to promote people's development based on their circumstances.

Your tasks include providing support to residents in their daily lives, following up on contact with care and authorities. Your tasks include both administrative work and work in the organization. The working hours are around the clock, including sleeping on-call and day or evening shifts. You who apply for the position are secure, stable, and humble. We expect you to be flexible and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner and take responsibility for finding solutions to situations that may arise during working hours. You should enjoy working closely with clients and motivating change. We offer many joint activities focused on health and fitness.

We want you to have a two-year post-secondary education equivalent to a vocational college or folk high school with a pedagogical or social and behavioral focus. You have previous experience in the care and support sector as well as experience in treatment work with adults. You are a trained support pedagogue.
