We are now looking for an experienced project buyer for an exciting consulting assignment in the energy and infrastructure sector. The assignment involves taking a central role in driving the purchasing part of investment projects, focusing on procurement of contracts in electrical, automation, mechanical, and process areas.

As a project buyer, you are the hub in the procurement phase – you take responsibility for the overall process and ensure that the right suppliers are chosen, that contracts are successfully negotiated, and that quality and profitability are achieved in project deliveries.

Your Responsibilities

Drive the purchasing part of investment projects from start to finish. Develop purchasing strategies, tender documents, contracts, and evaluation models. Ensure competition and conduct procurements in electrical, automation, mechanical, and process areas. Contribute market insights and establish dialogue with suppliers through RFI or other methods. Negotiate the best possible deal and document savings according to KPIs. Manage contracts, inquiries, bid evaluations, and supplier follow-ups. Drive deviations and contribute to solutions together with projects and suppliers.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in project purchasing within contracting. Relevant higher education in engineering, law, or economics. Experience in investment projects and procurement of contracts (mechanical, welding, piping, process, electrical, and automation). Good knowledge of contract law and contract forms AB/ABT/ABA. Experience in procurement in private sector. Understanding and interest in technology and energy.

Desirable Experience

Documented experience in negotiating complex contracts and achieving savings. Good market knowledge and established supplier networks. Ability to link purchasing strategies to business benefits and long-term quality.

Location

The assignment is located in the Stockholm area, with work at the client's various facilities and the possibility of some remote work.

Start: Immediately Scope: Full-time

Assignment Length: Initial period with an option for extension up to 1 year
