Are you an experienced Information Security Specialist looking to work in an international environment where data management, compliance, and security are at the forefront? We are currently seeking a Senior Information Security Specialist for a project in Gothenburg, starting on October 26, 2025, for a duration of 12 months (with the possibility of extension).

About the role

In the role of Information Security Specialist, you will have a central position where you drive security initiatives and act as a bridge between business and technology. You will be responsible for further developing and leading the work on information classification and data governance, while supporting the organization in meeting requirements according to frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and UNECE R155.

You will work closely with colleagues in IT, legal, procurement, and security to ensure that security requirements are not only met but also integrated in a pragmatic and business-oriented manner.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and develop the organization’s Information Classification Program.
• Design and maintain guidelines for information classification, in line with business needs and regulations.
• Drive adoption and compliance with classification policies.
• Support security and compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
• Contribute to risk assessments, controls, and remediation plans.
• Act as an advisor during vendor assessments, RFI/RFP processes, and third-party risk management.
• Raise awareness of data protection and security issues through training and communication.

Your background

• University degree and at least 8 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or GRC.
• Strong technical background, preferably within automotive or embedded systems.
• Solid understanding of standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155).
• Accustomed to working independently in dynamic environments where you create structure and drive progress.
• Experience with vendor reviews and close collaboration with procurement/legal.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are advantageous.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
