About Unika Malmbergavägen 

Malmbergavägen is a cozy single-story villa located in a quiet residential area in Brunnsäng. The facility consists of 6 apartments and generous communal areas. 

About the role as Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will assist the users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and effectively within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience in documentation.
  • Experience in care and support work.
  • High school education such as child and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
  • Sign language as an alternative and augmentative communication 
  • Experience working with complex support needs.

Employment conditions

Employment type: Permanent employment, probationary period applies.  Work percentage: Part-time, approximately 75% Working hours: Day/evening/weekend  Start date: According to agreement, we look positively on if you can start soon. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
