When Dockspot was founded in 2009 in Smögen, the vision was to book a marina spot as smoothly as booking a hotel. Today, we are one of the leading digital booking platforms for boat spots in the Nordics, with over 200 destinations. Since 2021, we have been part of the world's largest marina network – Safe Harbor Marinas.

We are still a small, entrepreneur-driven company based in Gothenburg, but with a global player behind us and close collaboration. Now we are facing our next step, which is why we are looking for a Business Development Manager who wants to continue developing our business.

As a Business Development Manager

Your main task is to drive Dockspot's sales and business development forward. The role involves building long-term partnerships with marinas in the Nordics – with a particular focus on Sweden, Norway, and Finland – and strengthening the business through both new and existing customers. This means expanding more boat spots in existing ports and signing more ports to our platform. You know that it is in personal meetings that businesses grow and that no customer is the same. The pace and tasks shift throughout the year; spring is characterized by travel and business development where new relationships are built and agreements are made, summer means full focus on support for the marinas when the pressure is highest, and autumn is dedicated to follow-up and further development for the next high season.

With a clear growth focus and an entrepreneurial mindset, you are the one who keeps the course and drives sales forward, both in the local market and internationally. This is a role for you who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and being where it really happens – especially during the high season in June-August, when it requires that it is “all hands on deck”.

You will among other things:

  • Develop the business by building strong relationships with both new and existing ports
  • Plan and conduct sales meetings, often on-site with customers – travel is a natural part of the job, mainly during spring
  • Support ports and end-users during the high season (July) and be involved in customer support to ensure customer satisfaction during our most important month
  • Analyze seasonal results, identify areas for improvement, and initiate changes for the upcoming season
  • Contribute to strategy and business development related to Dockspot's international growth together with our Managing Director
  • Represent Dockspot at industry fairs, events, and other networking meetings
  • Regularly gather with the team in Gothenburg to share ideas, strengthen collaboration, and drive development forward

About you

You thrive in a small company where no day is the same. You are the relationship builder who understands business, has the boating world in your blood, and a SaaS product in your back pocket. Unpretentious and curious, you are happy to step in where needed – whether it’s about closing a deal or answering a customer inquiry in the middle of July. You enjoy a fast pace, big ambitions, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves. Independent in your work, but with a team focus that drives you to grow together with us. You see opportunities and do it with a steady compass directed towards growth.

  • A couple of years of experience in B2B sales
  • Experience working in a smaller company, preferably in growth
  • Experience and network within the marine sector
  • Experience in SaaS/digital sales is a plus
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driver's license
