Business Description:

Dormsjöskolan is a residential care home (HVB) for boys aged 7–23 years.

We are located in Southern Dalarna, just north of Hedemora, and have our own free school. Here, children and adolescents live in five beautifully situated houses, near a lovely swimming lake and exciting forests. There are opportunities for fun activities and quiet moments, as well as adults to lean on.

Target Group:

Boys with neuropsychiatric disabilities and psychosocial difficulties.

We are licensed for 28 children/youths, and the license covers placements supported by SoL, LVU, and LSS.

Job Description:

We are now looking for a nurse who wants to contribute to the development of Dormsjöskolan and has a strong commitment and heart for the target group we work with. As a nurse, you will be responsible for Dormsjöskolan's health and medical care. Contact with agencies such as BUM, BUP, and HAB is common as our youth often have these contacts when they come to us. The work includes medication management in the form of dosage distribution and prescription renewal. As a nurse with us, you will also be responsible for delegation training for treatment staff. You will collaborate with the school, treatment staff, managers, and guardians.

Part of the position involves working as a school nurse, where you will be part of the school's student health team.

In the role of school nurse, you will work according to applicable laws and governing documents.

The work is independent, which means being able to make your own assessments and decisions.

Working hours and days can be adjusted.

We are looking for someone who

Is a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience.

Is meticulous in your work, has the ability to be flexible, and can adjust pace and work methods according to what each situation requires.

As a person, you are clear and trustworthy, and have a good ability to structure and prioritize.

Has a genuine commitment to helping and supporting others.

Is secure both as a person and in your profession.

Has the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Has good communication skills and an empathetic approach.

Can express yourself well in speech and writing.

Previous experience in HVB and schools is an advantage but not a requirement.
