As a vital part of outpatient care focusing on geriatrics, stroke, dementia, and rehabilitation, we are now looking for a new nurse to join our team!

The Neuro/Ger/Rehab outpatient unit is a cross-specialized unit with recurring diagnoses such as stroke, dementia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, brain tumors, or other neurodiagnostics. You will be part of our rehabilitation team, which consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, and doctors, where there is also a memory clinic for dementia assessments.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in our neurology unit, you have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of care for neurological conditions. You are primarily responsible for the outpatient stroke and neurology clinic, where you follow up with patients who have had strokes, epilepsy, brain tumors, and the rehabilitation that occurs after diagnosing these neurological diseases. You will educate and train staff at the clinic based on needs, provide information to relatives, and participate in network meetings. You will also participate in the stroke team conference every week.

There are great opportunities for further education in neurology even after the position is filled. We encourage applicants who have completed or plan to undertake further education in neurology or stroke care.

Another goal is for you to also become part of inpatient care, where you primarily contribute your specialist competence to the department's nurses working with neurological diagnoses. You will work 40 hours/week, with opportunities to influence your individual weekly working hours.

Licensed nurse according to basic education (with a willingness to further educate yourself in the specialist area)

Meritorious:

Experience and further education in neurology, rehabilitation, or specifically stroke.
