Our client is a high-tech company in the defense industry that develops advanced systems for underwater environments – including torpedoes, mine systems, and underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV). The products operate in extreme environments below the water surface, which places high demands on design and analysis.

As a calculation engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the designs can withstand all types of loads – static, dynamic, thermal, and functional. You will work throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and development to follow-up and improvements in operation. This is a role for you who want to be close to the product, take responsibility for the technology – and have the space to make a real impact.

You will work with several types of advanced structural calculations:

• Static analyses – for example, to ensure strength under constant loads

• Dynamic analyses – vibrations, shocks, and movements

• Functional analyses – examining how mechanical systems function as a whole

• Temperature calculations – how heat and cold affect the performance of the structure

You will work with simulation tools that fit the task – for example, Ansys to analyze strength, thermal effects, or vibrations in complex structures.

In addition to analysis work, you will be an important contact person for designers and other technical disciplines. You will answer strength-related questions, suggest improvements, and help identify problems early. The work is also very product-oriented – you will regularly be out in production to support, verify, or troubleshoot directly in reality.

You will work on both new projects and further development of existing solutions – giving you great technical breadth and variety in your daily work.

We are looking for someone who is a civil or university engineer in mechanical engineering, technical physics, or a related field. You have good knowledge of structural mechanics and strength theory, and an interest in working with technical analyses and simulations. You are proficient in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.

It is a merit if you have experience with calculation and simulation tools such as Ansys, HyperWorks, LS-Dyna, or MATLAB, but it is not a requirement. If you have also worked with dynamic or thermal analyses, or in product-oriented environments within the defense or manufacturing industry, this is considered an extra plus. Competence in optimization, lightweight constructions, or FE analysis is also valuable.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary

Extent: Full-time, permanent
