JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The operation is responsible for ensuring that people with disabilities receive support and care to live as independently as possible. In your work with us, it is important to be able to meet each person, to see each individual, and to communicate and be responsive to needs and interests. The person's areas of need are described in an implementation plan.

Your tasks also include documentation in our documentation system, Lifecare, as well as performing health and medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

Working hours are distributed across days, evenings, weekends, and night shifts.

Group Homes

There are currently six different group homes within Vimmerby town. In a group home, 4-8 people live in their own apartments. These individuals require proximity to staff around the clock. The work mainly involves supporting individuals to live as independently as possible. This may include cooking, assisting with personal hygiene, shopping together with the individual, etc.

Service Housing

There are currently three different service housing options within Vimmerby town. Service housing is a middle ground between fully independent living in one's own apartment and a group home. Each service housing has a number of apartments associated with it. Working in service housing means providing support and motivation in the individual's own home based on their implementation plan.

Daily Activities

Within daily activities, we offer meaningful employment for individuals under LSS, contributing to personal development and promoting participation in society.

The operation is conducted with various focuses to suit the individual. Consideration is given based on the person's circumstances. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

Short-term/Recreational Care

Work with children and adolescents who have disabilities. The operation is conducted so that the basic needs for supervision, rest, movement, activity, meals, and other care adapted to the disability and age are met. The operation is staffed around the clock, with working hours distributed across day/evening/night/weekend and pure night shifts.

Personal Assistance

Working as a personal assistant means supporting and motivating the individual in their home. The work mainly involves supporting individuals to live as independently as possible. This may include cooking, assisting with personal hygiene, shopping together with the individual, etc.

Working alone is common when working as a personal assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Has education in nursing programs, leisure leader training, child and youth programs, treatment pedagogy education, or equivalent education.
• Experience in the field is an advantage.
• Class B driver's license is desirable.

In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and interest in the position. We see you as responsible and flexible, with a service-oriented approach and a positive attitude with good and respectful interaction. It is important that you can work independently while also having good collaboration skills. The work also requires documentation, so you must be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. If you speak another language, that is a plus.
