Job Advertisement: Nurse for Ward 3

Ward 3 is one of two inpatient wards within Vrinnevisjukhuset's medical clinic.

The ward specializes in lung and kidney medicine, hematology, and specialist palliative care. At Ward 3, we care for everything from acutely ill patients to those with long-term and incurable conditions, as well as patients in the end-of-life stage. The facilities are newly renovated, and care is provided in single rooms.

Our Offer

As a new employee, you will receive a comprehensive introduction over six weeks and continued professional development throughout your first year. For the first 18 months, you will be offered group supervision in the form of clinical development meetings. As a new nurse, you will be assigned an experienced colleague as a mentor. You will also receive targeted training on professional nursing, various treatment interventions, and disease panoramas.

From autumn 2025, we will have two nurses working on the development of our ward and the nurse's role in the team. A significant part of this development work is to mentor you as a newcomer, regardless of experience.

Job Description

As a nurse on Ward 3, you will work in a learning environment with reflection as a foundation to develop your experience-based knowledge. We base our work on the ICN's ethical codes and the four fundamental areas of responsibility in nursing: promoting health, preventing illness, restoring health, and alleviating suffering while promoting a dignified death. As a nurse, you lead the nursing work of your patients, working in a team with nursing assistants, doctors, and paramedics for person-centered and value-creating care. The foundation of the daily work for the nurse is to systematically assess and analyze the patient's health and situation. We call it “head-to-toe” – all patients should be examined by a nurse with warm hands during each shift. The care provided in Ward 3 includes several medical technical devices such as respiratory support through high-flow treatment, pressure support, or various drainage functions, as well as medical technical equipment adapted for medication-related conditions.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse. You do not need to be a pro when you start, but you should be receptive and open to becoming a resource in an important operation at the hospital.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We see that you are engaged and eager to be part of an organization that is constantly evolving. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. As a person, you are proactive and communicative. Since the work involves documentation and contact with colleagues, patients, and relatives, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language.
