ABOUT THE POSITION

Autoliv is a world-leading supplier of automotive safety systems, with a vision that no one should be injured or lose their life in traffic accidents. Every day, they work towards this vision by developing and manufacturing innovative, high-quality products, from airbags and seatbelts to pedestrian protection systems.

We at Academic Work are now looking for a Simulink/Embedded Developer to join the team in Gothenburg. In this role, you will be part of a project team consisting of 10 people where you will play a key role in the development of the upcoming software platform for next-generation products in various areas. Together with your team, you will be responsible for developing a toolbox of software components to quickly turn ideas into products. The team will take the lead at the beginning of the project and create the structures needed to accelerate the process from prototype to finished product for users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for creating software components that can quickly transform ideas into products. The team is central to Autoliv's digital strategy and works globally with international teams. You will work with control systems, dSpace rigs, ECUs, and AUTOSAR stacks, as well as use programming tools such as Matlab/Simulink, and languages like C, C++, and Python.

The code is managed in Git, and testing and integration are automated via Azure DevOps. You will have close collaboration with the electronics department and influence the choices of MCUs, sensors, and other components and participate in testing at the customer site or at Autoliv's testing facility in Vårgårda.

You will belong to the office in Gothenburg, but weekly travel to Vårgårda where Autoliv's Innovation Center is located will be required.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a university degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
  • Has previous experience in an embedded development role, preferably within Automotive
  • Has good knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, and Python
  • Has basic knowledge of C/C++
  • Has a valid driver's license (B)
  • Is fluent in English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with CAN protocol, AUTOSAR, and/or Azure DevOps

Knowledge can be obtained through education, experience, or self-learning.
