Matverkstan is a unique restaurant located next to the beautiful Stångån river. Here, we serve a homemade lunch made from scratch with our freshly baked bread and generous salad buffet. With its location and fine premises, Matverkstan is the perfect place for all kinds of celebrations. We are now looking for a creative person who wants to help us take Matverkstan to the next level. 

About the position

For the right person, there are great opportunities for development! We are looking for someone with a burning passion for cooking and who enjoys working with ingredients that make a menu appealing. A cheerful personality with a touch of entrepreneurship fits this job like hollandaise on asparagus. Broad knowledge in baking is a plus but not a requirement.

So who is our new dream colleague?

You are a cheerful person with experience as a chef or cold kitchen worker who is used to creating good relationships and contacts with guests. As a person, you are responsible, ambitious, and respectful towards your surroundings. 

We want you to have:

• 3-year vocational chef education or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Driving license B

• Previous work experience as a chef or cold kitchen worker
• Experience in ordering supplies
• Broad knowledge in baking
• Extra interest in desserts
• A solid interest and preferably knowledge and experience in sustainability work as the restaurant is both environmentally and quality certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
