Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Food and Restaurant, you will lead and develop a socially important operation with approximately 250 employees. You will have personnel responsibility for three area managers and one meal developer, lead the department's management team, and be part of the administration's overall management team, reporting directly to the Service Director.

This is a role for you who want to make a real difference. You will be responsible for steering, leading, and following up on operations with a focus on quality, development, and long-term sustainability. Through close collaboration with other administrations, politics, and key stakeholders such as student health and the allergy center, you will contribute to solutions for complex issues within municipal meal operations – issues that are of great importance for health and well-being.

Your Workplace

Food & Restaurant is responsible for cooking for Linköping's primary and secondary schools. In our 70 kitchens, 250 employees prepare approximately 26,000 meals daily, served in our own school restaurants or delivered to preschools and elderly care. Who You Are

You have many years of experience as a manager, preferably within meal operations or a related field, although this is not an absolute requirement. We prefer that you have a university degree from the Dietitian Program, Food and Leadership Program, or another education that we, together with your professional experience, assess as relevant.

The position requires the ability to combine strategic leadership with good collaboration, as well as the ability to express oneself correctly in speech and writing, as it is part of the job to establish, interpret, and convey information, decisions, and documentation in a legally secure and professional manner. We are looking for someone who is a confident and socially secure leader with the ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into practical action. You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a problem-solving analytical ability that allows you to handle complex issues effectively. You create engagement through clear and inclusive leadership, work goal- and result-oriented, and are flexible and change-oriented. Furthermore, you are a skilled communicator who enjoys speaking in front of groups and have strong collaboration skills, which enables you to build good relationships and achieve common goals.
