Today, the Klosterhotel is a modern facility with historical roots. Here, we cherish the authentic and genuine. The operations consist of Restaurant, Hotel, SPA, Café, Cultural historical events & tours, Shop, Bar & Wine cellar with our own import of beverages from all corners of the world.

Do you want to lead the service in a restaurant where historical environment, gastronomy, and hospitality are at the center? Do you have an eye for detail, natural leadership – and also an interest in food and wine? Then you might be the head waiter we are looking for.

About the role

As a head waiter with us, you are a key person in the restaurant and an obvious part of the guest experience. You lead the service, create security within the team, and ensure that every guest feels personally welcomed. For those of you who are sommeliers or have a great interest in wine, there is an opportunity to work with and develop our extensive wine cellar and beverage selection, as well as conduct wine and beverage tastings for our guests – but this is not a requirement for the position.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead and distribute work in the restaurant during service
  • Ensure high quality, structure, and personal hospitality
  • Be responsible for table placement, flow, and overall experience
  • Coach and inspire service and bar staff
  • Handle guest requests, bookings, and arrangements on-site

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience as a head waiter or in a leadership role within a restaurant
  • Has a genuine interest in service, people, and quality
  • Is confident in your leadership and enjoys an operational role
  • Is structured, solution-oriented, and stress-resistant
  • Speaks Swedish and English fluently
  • Sommelier education or documented interest in wine is a merit, but not a requirement
