We are looking for someone who desires an inspiring job as the head of one of our two meal units.

What can we offer you?

The Service Sector is responsible for property management and operations, meal service, cleaning service, transport service, vehicle coordination, sports and facilities, as well as renovation and new construction projects.

Meal service is responsible for cooking for schools, preschools, and care and nursing homes. The operation includes 11 production kitchens and 10 reception kitchens, located both inside and outside the urban area. Approximately 3,800 portions are produced daily. The work is based on the regional food strategy and a meal policy focused on reducing food waste and using Swedish, local, and organic ingredients.

You will report to the sector manager and be part of the sector's management team. You will also work closely with your managerial colleague within Meal Service.

Your future tasks

As the meal manager, you will lead and distribute work for about 30 employees located throughout the municipality. You will support and develop your employees to create motivation and engagement, and actively work with workplace environment issues and rehabilitation. Conducting workplace meetings and collaboration meetings is part of the role, and you will also be responsible for goal follow-up as well as economic and scheduling matters.

You will have direct contact with the responsible unit managers for housing, schools, and preschools, and develop the operation together with them.

Who are you?

To thrive in this role, you have relevant education, such as a dietitian, nutritionist, or a degree in food and meal science, or other education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

You have solid experience from leading positions within service operations with responsibility for personnel, operations, and finances, preferably within municipal meal operations or a similar field. You are accustomed to driving structured improvement work with clear results.

As a leader, you are clear, communicative, and collaborative. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, make confident decisions, and follow through with persistence. With a genuine interest in people, you combine a focus on development with a managerial leadership that creates stability and long-term success. You are also comfortable in digital environments and have a good understanding of politically governed organizations.

Knowledge of economics and meal data systems is an advantage.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
