JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a knowledgeable and driven temporary substitute to the large kitchen at Skänninge Prison and Remand Center!

As a cook, you will prepare meals for approximately 480 inmates as well as for the very popular and appreciated staff restaurant. In the kitchen, you will work in a skilled and cohesive team alongside other cooks and our kitchen manager who leads the daily operations. Furthermore, as part of a well-functioning team, you will be involved in planning, preparing lunch and dinner, and special diets. You will also collaborate on and be responsible for cleaning the kitchen facilities, dishwashing, and self-control in accordance with applicable legislation. As a cook with us, you will work daytime Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your personal qualities are important to us. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-driven, cooperative, and service-oriented. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. It is important that you have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You are stable and controlled during the stressful and pressured situations that may arise in a large kitchen. Furthermore, we believe you are someone who has the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things.

Requirements

• Restaurant or large-scale kitchen education at the high school level or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience working in a large kitchen.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Good experience working with self-controls.

Desirable

• Good experience working with special diets.
• Relevant language skills.
• Driver's license.
