Slottsgården is a personal boutique hotel with unique themed rooms, a vibrant restaurant, and regular events. We are a family-run hotel with high ambitions, creative energy, and a strong love for hospitality. We are now looking for a Sous Chef who wants to help develop our kitchen together with our head chef and owner.

About the Role

As a sous chef, you are the head chef's closest support and a key person in the daily operations. You are responsible for ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently, structured, and inspiring – even when the pace is high. You are both a confident leader, a skilled cook, and a collaborative force in the house.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and distribute work in the kitchen
  • Ensure that logistics in the kitchen work optimally – from preparation to service
  • Be responsible for structure, flow, and work planning during service
  • Quality assure food, presentation, and delivery
  • Actively participate in service (lunch, à la carte, sharing, events)
  • Plan menus together with the head chef
  • Purchasing, inventory management, and ingredient control
  • Self-control and food hygiene (HACCP)
  • Introduce and mentor staff
  • Collaborate with other departments in the house to ensure a holistic experience
  • Plan, drive, and execute meetings and events
  • Be responsible for planning and executing catering – from menu setup to logistics and delivery
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts and business areas

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 3–5 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a leading role
  • Is structured and has a good ability to create order and efficient flow
  • Has experience in events and/or catering
  • Is solution-oriented and stress-resistant
  • Is communicative and enjoys collaborating across departmental boundaries
  • Has a passion for taste, presentation, and ingredient quality
  • Wants to be part of developing the business long-term
