Job Description

Do you want to do something meaningful and have fun at work this summer?

We can offer you a summer job that can make a difference with meaningful tasks and wonderful colleagues. Within special housing (SÄBO), you can work at one of our nursing homes. Here you will meet our elderly citizens and contribute to making their daily lives easier. Before starting work, we offer you an introduction and shadowing as well as the training required for the position. The tasks are varied and can look a bit different depending on the unit, but the most common tasks are to assist our residents with personal care, help during meal situations, and social interaction. Working hours are varied and include both day/evening and weekends. We are also looking for those who wish to work only awake nights.

We are now looking for summer substitutes for our special accommodations Birkagården and Aspgården.

Common to all our operations is that our work is characterized by a common value base where the resident is in focus.

Birkagården's special accommodation for people with dementia

Birkagården is a special accommodation for people with a dementia diagnosis and is centrally located in Söderköping's city center, close to the canal and the river. We have a beautiful inner courtyard that offers nice walking paths and the opportunity to relax in the sensory garden. Birkagården has 39 apartments spread over 5 departments. We have round-the-clock staffing and the work team consists of nursing staff, nurses, an administrator, and two unit managers.

Aspgården

Aspgården is located in Östra Ryd just outside Söderköping city. We are close to beautiful surroundings and a lovely garden that our residents help maintain.

Aspgården has 23 apartments spread over 2 departments. We have round-the-clock staffing and the work team consists of nursing staff, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and a unit manager. To work at Aspgården, it is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to a car to easily get to and from work.

Qualifications

You who are applying should have a pleasant demeanor and focus on the individual.

The nursing program or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent is desirable but not a requirement. You must be at least 18 years old. Experience from similar operations is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and be open to delegation responsibility for medication administration.

Scope of Employment

You are offered work full-time or part-time according to a schedule, and our summer period is during weeks 24-34. We welcome and prioritize those who can work with us all summer.
