- As a Design Manager WP1, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of design work within WP1. You will report to the WP1 Owner and work closely with the WP1 team and other Design Managers within BECCS to ensure a cohesive and successful project delivery.
Your responsibilities
- Be responsible for design planning and execution for WP1 in accordance with project specifications
- Develop and follow up the overall engineering plan with clear goals and milestones
- Plan and coordinate review and approval processes of technical documentation
- Follow up on technical issues and communication with contractors, and escalate when necessary
- Lead performance management for the design team, including reporting, cost and time tracking
- Participate in and coordinate technical interfaces between different Work Packages
- Identify project and design risks and develop solutions
- Ensure quality, productivity, and best practices within design and engineering processes
- Lead and support the design team to achieve project goals
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and safety culture in the project
Meetings and coordination:
- Daily: Engineering performance management
- Weekly: WP1 coordination meeting

- Requirements:
Requirements Profile
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in project management and design management within larger infrastructure, energy, or process industries, focusing on complex civil and foundation projects (e.g., earthworks, slab on grade, quay/dock).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering design, principles, and methods. Good knowledge of regulations, standards, and best practices in project management. Interdisciplinary technical understanding (construction, mechanics, process, electrical, automation, etc.).
- Competence: Documented ability to manage risks, drive quality work, conduct technical design reviews, and maintain schedules and budgets.
- Education: Master's degree in engineering or equivalent. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Language: Very good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written) and good English.
- Personal qualities: Communicative, structured, and solution-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and can deliver under pressure.
