Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to develop and improve models and codes for assessing the dissolved source term during severe accidents in light water reactors.
The research will particularly involve assessing the properties of containment pools and the water they contain through system codes, as well as the thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of Cs and Sr chemistry, including model development and implementation of these in the system codes. This project is part of SOCRATES, an EU project addressing critical knowledge gaps regarding the liquid source term during severe accidents and offering innovative solutions to mitigate and monitor the release of radionuclides into the environment.
We Offer
- An employment at a leading technical university that creates knowledge and competence for a sustainable future
- Engaged and ambitious colleagues in a creative, international, and dynamic environment
- Computational resources to be further developed in the project.
- Collaborations with leading organizations in nuclear safety research at national and international levels
- Employment in Stockholm with proximity to nature.
