Senior Automation Engineer – Electrical Engineering and CAD

Responsibilities In the role of senior automation engineer, you will: Design, dimension, and construct electrical and automation solutions. Create drawings and electrical schematics using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or EPLAN. Be responsible for technical solutions from feasibility study to commissioning. Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and optimization of automation systems. Act as a technical mentor for colleagues and guide junior engineers and technicians. Conduct training sessions and workshops in electrical engineering, automation, and CAD. Participate in client meetings and explain technical solutions in a pedagogical manner. Contribute to the development of internal processes, routines, and training materials.

Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has several years of experience as an automation engineer, electrical designer, or similar role. Has good knowledge of electrical design and engineering. Is accustomed to working with CAD tools for electrical design. Has experience in programming PLC and HMI systems (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Beckhoff). Is pedagogical and enjoys sharing knowledge. Is self-driven, structured, and responsible. Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Holds a valid driver's license (depending on the project). Meritorious: Experience in technical training, mentoring, or support. Knowledge of SCADA systems. Experience in energy solutions or industrial automation.
