We are looking for

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Further education in psychiatric care is desirable but not a requirement. Experience in psychiatry and knowledge of the Sami language are merits.

You are calm, stable, and controlled while maintaining a realistic perspective on situations. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. What you will work with

As a nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to do meaningful work as you make important contributions to patients experiencing acute illness or long-term mental health issues. You will work in a safe and meaningful 24-hour care environment with core components such as approach, relationships, consideration, knowledge, and conversation. Patients who come to us may have issues such as severe depression, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse. The work is carried out on the ward in care teams consisting of caregivers and nurses, along with a contact person system to provide individually tailored care and support.

- You work patient-centered and with a holistic perspective where great importance is placed on participation for the patient and relatives.
- During admission according to HSL, LPT, LRV, or LVM, you will help develop a care plan based on the patient's needs.
- You will have close collaboration with psychiatric outpatient care as well as with other authorities such as social services for coordinated individual planning. On the ward, we take pride in our improvement spirit with a patient focus, and there will be good opportunities for you to work with colleagues to improve care processes, care environments, and flows with value-creating time for the patient.

At the Psychiatric Ward in Gällivare, we work with adult psychiatric treatment and assessment, where we meet patients with psychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse, and diagnoses within the neuropsychiatric field.
Our ward has 13 beds, and we provide both outpatient and inpatient care. Within the organization, we have 80 employees. We work with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient care, inpatient care, and care teams. Within the organization, we have caregivers, psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, secretaries, and psychiatrists.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position. Work hours are arranged by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
