We are pleased to have the opportunity to expand our operations with more care places starting in the fall of 2025, and therefore need more nursing assistants for our team. We have both permanent positions and temporary contracts.

The operations within the surgical clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset are focused on diagnostics and treatment of diseases in the gastrointestinal tract and the body's endocrine system, as well as trauma. The clinic also has a urological unit with 6 places. The clinic conducts both emergency and planned operations. As a nursing assistant at the clinic, you will work within the different sections. In your role, you will be part of the team around the surgical and urological patient. The work is varied in both pace and tasks. No day is like the other.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and constantly seeks to develop and acquire new knowledge. Your tasks consist of basic care as well as a range of tasks specific to surgical and urological care such as wound dressings, stoma care, drainage management, catheter insertion, managing infusion drips, and sample collection.

Work Group

You will work in a team/care unit together with a nurse. Together, you will work for good care quality based on the individual needs and resources of the patient. Other professionals in the team include doctors, advanced practice nurses, social workers, dietitians, physiotherapists, and more.

About You

Basic requirements for employment as a nursing assistant:

• Approved high school education of at least 2250 points, Health and Care Program or equivalent
• For adult education, approved high school education equivalent to at least 1400 points within the Health and Care education or equivalent.
• Grade criteria: At least a grade of E in all courses (passed).
• It is desirable to have a diploma from certified education via the Care and Care College, applicable to both youth and adult education.

Previous experience in hospital care is an advantage.

Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities in interactions during patient meetings or care situations. As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
