Service Engineer at Graphic Packaging International

About the position

As a service engineer, you will be one of our specialists in installations, test runs, service, and support for our customers. We have customers all over the world, and the position therefore involves travel to varying extents depending on the timing of machine deliveries. When you are not out with customers, your workplace will be in Lund, where you will work with assembly, settings, development, and service of our packaging machines. You will play an active role in improving machine systems and troubleshooting mechanical and automation-related issues. You will also be responsible for providing support to our suppliers during the final testing of the machines.

You will be part of a team that currently consists of nine knowledgeable and engaged service engineers. You will report to the Service & Validations Manager. The work is project-based, and you will have close collaboration with the design and automation departments as well as the packaging development department in the various projects.

The position is a permanent employment

The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible and involves travel to varying extents, about 50-100 days a year. It is therefore important that you enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a solution-focused and self-driven person who has a genuine interest in technology and practical skills. Furthermore, we believe that you are someone who can understand mechanical movements and can make machine adjustments. Since much of the work takes place at our customers' sites, you need to have good communication skills and a strong desire to solve the problems that arise to succeed in this role. Additionally, we believe that you are stimulated by sometimes tough challenges and that you have the ability and willingness to train and teach operators and mechanics in the field.

Your background

You have a technical education equivalent to at least high school level. It is advantageous if you have experience in mechanical work or machine systems as well as experience working with machines with servo systems. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, and have a basic level of Swedish. You also have good computer skills. It is an extra plus if you also speak another language, such as Spanish or German.
