Railcare Lokverkstad AB is one of Sweden's leading players in the maintenance and modernization of locomotives. Based in Långsele, we offer a wide range of services to ensure the highest quality and availability for our customers' vehicles. We work with both planned and emergency maintenance, carrying out everything from regular service inspections to larger renovations and modernization projects.

Our operations include:

• Maintenance and repairs: Daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and actions to keep locomotives operational.
• Modernizations: Upgrading drivetrains, installing new systems, and improving the work environment to future-proof the locomotives.
• Projects and special solutions: Adaptations and renovations based on customer needs, such as conversion to more environmentally friendly systems.
• Quality and safety: We are certified according to ISO standards and work in accordance with ECM regulations to maintain the highest standards of safety and traceability.

Your responsibilities

In your role as a vehicle technician, you are a central part of our team and one of our most valuable resources. Our customers expect not only professional service but also a high degree of accuracy and expertise. Your main responsibilities will be to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance flexibly. This includes systematically troubleshooting, carrying out repairs, and implementing modernizations when needed. It may involve everything from filter and oil changes to troubleshooting and component replacements.

You will also have the opportunity to work within our other business area where we work on various projects such as engine installations, upgrading subsystems like hydraulics and pneumatics, or component revisions, which will give you broader work experience and the opportunity to develop your skills in different areas.

You will be responsible for leading and driving your tasks forward, ensuring they are completed within the specified time frames and that our customers' expectations are not only met but preferably exceeded. It is of utmost importance that you deliver high-quality work and always provide our customers with a professional and accommodating approach.

Your profile

We are looking for candidates with a vehicle technology education or equivalent experience in the field. As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, and self-driven. You have the ability to perform tasks with precision and a high standard of safety, and you thrive both in a fast-paced environment and in collaboration with your colleagues. We also see that you can and want to contribute to improving routines and working methods in our workshop and with that, you are initiative-taking and unpretentious; being engaged and open-minded is a given for us.

We consider it an advantage if you have one or more of these qualities;

• Knowledge in vehicle electronics or industrial electronics
• Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics
• Skills in reading technical drawings

For the right candidate, the ability to take a holistic approach and deliver effective solutions is key. We welcome new ideas and competencies and place great importance on your personality and potential. Computer skills are valuable as all documentation is done digitally.

The work may involve assignments both in the field and in other locations, which requires you to have at least a B driver's license and to pass health examinations according to the applicable requirements for vehicle technicians in the railway sector.

The work is usually scheduled for daytime Monday-Friday, 07:00-16:00 in our workshop in Långsele.

The position is permanent and full-time. Fixed monthly salary according to agreement.
