Railcare Lokverkstad AB is one of Sweden's leading players in the maintenance and modernization of locomotives. Based in Långsele, we offer a wide range of services to ensure the highest quality and availability for our customers' vehicles. We work with both planned and emergency maintenance, carrying out everything from regular service inspections to larger renovations and modernization projects.

Our operations include:

• Maintenance and repairs: Daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and actions to keep locomotives operational.
• Modernizations: Upgrading drivetrains, installing new systems, and improving the working environment to future-proof the locomotives.
• Projects and special solutions: Customizations and renovations based on customer needs, such as conversion to more environmentally friendly systems.
• Quality and safety: We are certified according to ISO standards and work in accordance with ECM regulations to maintain the highest standards of safety and traceability.

Your tasks

As an electrician with us, you will perform tasks ranging from the installation of new electrical systems to maintenance work and troubleshooting of existing systems. A typical workday may involve the installation of train protection systems and radio control to ensure optimal safety and functionality in railway vehicles. Additionally, you will be involved in renovations and modernizations, where you will be responsible for installing new electronics in cabs, controls, and other adaptations to create reliable vehicles and an improved working environment for end users.

In your work, you will collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure that projects are completed within the specified timelines. Your role also involves meeting and exceeding customer expectations by delivering high-quality work and demonstrating a professional demeanor in all situations.

Your profile

As an electrician with us, you are expected not only to be skilled in your field but also to be enthusiastic and committed to exploring and using new technology. We expect you to:

• Be solution-oriented and meticulous with documentation and work on electrical systems and components.
• Have relevant education in the field and several years of experience in the industry.
• Be service-oriented with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members and customers.
• Be eager to learn new technical tools and methods to stay updated in your field.
• Be computer literate and comfortable using digital tools to maintain and update workshop documentation.
• Have at least a B driver's license as some assignments may require travel to other locations and fieldwork.
• Be able to pass health examinations according to the requirements for vehicle technicians in railways.
