About the assignment and the person we are looking for 

Do you want to drive a key initiative in a Nordic transformation program and contribute with your expertise in Workday? 

We are now looking for an experienced Workday implementation consultant for an independent assignment focusing on the rollout of Human Capital Management (HCM) in Denmark and Norway for our well-known client in retail.

Location: Stockholm / hybrid opportunity Assignment period: August 2025 – March 2026 Scope: 100% Start: August

This is a central project assignment where you will have operational and advisory responsibility for

planning, configuring, and deploying Workday HCM in two new countries based on an already existing Swedish model. Workday is currently implemented in Sweden, and the next phase involves harmonizing and rolling out the corresponding solution in Denmark and Norway.

You will work closely with project management, HR, and IT, without an external Workday partner, which requires both technical expertise and independent drive. The assignment suits you who thrive in a hands-on environment where you both lead and deliver from requirements analysis to go-live.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the configuration of Workday HCM for DK and NO, including:
• Organizational structure
• Security rules and roles
• Business processes
• Ensure local adaptation based on legal and operational requirements
• Plan and drive test strategy, test cases, and documentation before go-live
• Act as an advisor on best practices and sustainable system architecture
• Support internal resources in knowledge transfer and competence building
• Interpret local requirements together with country representatives in DK and NO

We are looking for someone who:

• Has documented experience in independently implementing Workday HCM
• Has a very good understanding of the logic, security, and process design of Workday modules
• Is comfortable working both operationally and advisory in complex IT/HR projects
• Has experience working in an international or Nordic context
• Is used to collaborating with both HR and IT and other support functions
• Has good knowledge of English (required) and Swedish (preferred)
• Understands HCM concepts in Nordic languages – a success factor for teamwork

Other: You will report to the project manager for the Workday program and become a key person in a cross-functional team where you will have significant freedom to act and influence. The assignment requires both system competence, project experience, and the ability to bridge HR and IT.
