Are you a responsible person with a strong drive to provide our members with compensation of the right quality? Then you might be the one we are looking for! Kommunals Unemployment Fund is currently seeking more benefits officers to strengthen our production offices.

We are an organization present in eight locations in Sweden, with the head office located in Stockholm. Other locations include Gothenburg, Härnösand, Kalmar, Karlstad, Luleå, Lund, and Visby.

Kommunals Unemployment Fund is one of Sweden's largest unemployment funds, and our main mission is to pay compensation to our unemployed members. We are not an authority, but we perform governmental duties when we handle and decide on cases regarding compensation and membership.

About the Role

You will investigate and make decisions regarding the payment of unemployment benefits based on current legislation. We are on an exciting journey of change in our working methods and are facing new legislation that will come into effect on October 1, 2025. You will be part of a team working together to achieve set production and operational goals. You will also provide service to our members via phone, visits, email, and other channels.

Our focus is on efficient and legally secure processing with a good working environment. We are increasingly automating ongoing processing, which means we can spend time on the more complicated parts of a case.

The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probation period, starting no later than April 1. The position is located at the unemployment fund's office in Luleå.

Who Are You?

You will have many contacts with both colleagues within the unemployment fund and with members and authorities, so you must be a communicative person with good collaboration skills. At Kommunals Unemployment Fund, we always have the member in focus, and you are expected to be professional, credible, empathetic, and engaged. You have a pedagogical ability to meet and explain to our members how the unemployment insurance works. You can work in a fast-paced environment in a structured way and take great responsibility for your work while being able to separate your professional role from your personal life.

You will have varied tasks and need to be flexible and able to prioritize among tasks during your workday. You need to be open to changes and developments in working methods due to the ongoing digitalization in society. Therefore, it is important that you can embrace new technology, new working methods, and new information. We encourage you to contribute ideas and think innovatively.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Post-secondary education, preferably with a focus on law, economics, social sciences, or other education that we assess as equivalent.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulations.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. We work with clear language, which means we convert complex legal concepts into clear, understandable, and correct texts for our members.

Meritorious:

• If you have work experience in processing activities, preferably with experience from unemployment funds or relevant authorities.
• If you have knowledge of the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Unemployment Funds Act.

We are looking for several benefits officers, starting as agreed, no later than April 1. The positions are permanent, with a requirement for a 6-month probation period.
