We are now looking for a nursing assistant for our eye clinic in Uppsala. At the clinic, we work with both private vision correction surgeries, refractive surgery, and public eye care on behalf of the Region. Within eye care, we offer eye outpatient services for children and adults, orthoptics, cataract surgeries, outpatient surgeries, and fundus photography for diabetes. You will be part of a close-knit team with a high level of commitment and a strong focus on all patients who come to the clinic daily.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at the clinic, you will, among other things:

• Receive patients at the clinic
• Work with telephone reception
• Handle referrals, planning, and bookings
• Prepare patients for outpatient visits and/or surgery
• Assist before and during surgery and with sterile handling (if previous experience exists)

The work requires that you are confident in your role, flexible, and have an easy time building trust with both patients and colleagues.

Who You Are

For this role, you should:

• Be a trained nursing assistant
• Have several years of experience working in a hospital, clinic, or similar role
• Preferably have experience with outpatient work and surgery

It is an advantage if you have previously worked at an eye clinic.

The position requires good collaboration skills and a high degree of independence, and we expect you to contribute with high quality and prioritize patient safety.
