About us

Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We assist patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological injuries and diseases. We also offer personal assistance. We are located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik in Solna, a combination of old barracks, new living rooms, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have extensive research and education activities and a well-developed teamwork approach. We also have a clinic focused on MS in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Närsjukvård, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care departments, Basic home care, and Uppsala Närakut.

The Role We are looking for a personal assistant for our Resource Pool, which is staffed outside of office hours between 15:30-07:30 on weekdays and around the clock on weekends and public holidays. Your main tasks will be to receive absence notifications from assistants on our emergency phone and to go out to our clients and work as an assistant when the regular assistant is sick or on leave.

Working hours may vary, but are primarily between 15:30-07:30 and 07:30-15:30. Before and after each shift, a handover is made both in writing and verbally to our coordinator who works Monday-Friday during the day or to a Resource Pool colleague who will take over for you on the weekend.

The work is primarily done remotely (from home) while you monitor our emergency phone. If you need to respond and work, you will go to where the client is located, usually at home.

As a personal assistant, you will have a varied job. Your tasks will include supporting and assisting clients with their daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, mobility, communication, assisting with meals, cleaning, exercising, administering medication as needed, accompanying on activities, etc.

About You As a person We are looking for someone who values providing good care and service with high quality. In your work, you are adaptable and see the importance of accuracy and structure in both care work and administrative tasks. Through your engagement, professional approach, and communication skills, you create good relationships with colleagues and clients, making you a significant employee for us.

Background You are a person with a great interest in working with people. In this role, it is required to be flexible, resilient to stress, and solution-oriented. Previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or in healthcare and social care is also required. Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. It is highly meritorious if you have a driver's license and access to your own car, as well as previous experience in staffing tasks. This job is suitable for you if you already have a part-time job and want to work a bit more or if you are studying and want to work a few shifts a week in addition to your studies.
