About Villa Siggbo

Villa Siggbo is a special accommodation located in Tierp. The facility has 6 departments spread over 3 floors, with about 10 residents in each department. We have 2 departments focused on individuals with dementia, 3 departments for individuals with somatic care needs, and 1 department focused on psychogeriatrics. 

About the role

You will work in a team with physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff, and your task is to provide quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs.

In the role of occupational therapist, you will work with the residents to find the best ways to utilize their own abilities in daily life. You will support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social abilities. This often involves you:

• making assessments and adapting the everyday environment.
• testing and prescribing physical and cognitive aids.
• guiding your colleagues in rehabilitative efforts, approaches, transfer techniques, etc.
• maintaining contact with the residents' relatives.

Your experience and knowledge

We believe that you who are applying to us:

• are attracted to a job that is varied and requires extensive knowledge of care and nursing

• have a pedagogical approach and enjoy working in a team while supporting colleagues.

You are a licensed occupational therapist, and we prefer that you have several years of experience in elderly care. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement.
