About the Unit

The System Management Unit is the Swedish Armed Forces' organization for the management of IT systems, applications, and master data. The unit's task is to maintain and develop secure and robust IT systems to support the operational capability of the Armed Forces. The System Management Unit is an interesting and dynamic organization that offers a good working environment with engaged employees.

We are looking for someone who wants to work with the whole process, from requirement specification together with the business to integration with system developers, and further to production deployment with the operations organization. As a specialist in your field, you will support and drive the work in all phases, either independently or together with others depending on the scope and area of the task.

With one foot in technical management and the other with the users, you will be an important cog in the Armed Forces' continued development in information management. With your focus in technical management, you will ensure that the organization can utilize today's tools and also be prepared for what the future holds, together with other managers, developers, and system suppliers.

We see that you have experience in integration or development in close collaboration with end-users. You are communicative and skilled at conveying your knowledge in how the tools can be practically utilized. You also have the ability to see how technology should support methods and processes to make information flows work.

The section works both nationally and internationally, and depending on the area you operate in, you may eventually represent the Armed Forces in national and/or international working groups.

Main Responsibilities

  • As the deputy technical management responsible for the section, you will be responsible for the direction of information management tools and applications that support information management.
  • Participate in preparations and technical investigations regarding information management tools.
  • Conduct ongoing regulatory analyses (e.g., laws, internal regulations of the Armed Forces, etc.) related to information management.
  • As a technical expert, support the organization in developing their daily work regarding information management.
  • If necessary, participate in development work, individually or together with others in the section or various system suppliers.
  • Support the section's other managers.
  • If necessary, participate in joint working groups related to information management.
  • If necessary, participate in international working groups and initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • You have documented experience in technical management or development related to Microsoft SharePoint (2016 or later).
  • You have relevant education or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.
  • You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • You have a B driver's license.

Personal Qualities

You are structured, meticulous, curious, driven, and proactive. It is important to us that you are unpretentious and positive, and that we work together towards a common goal. We see that you have a good ability to work independently, but it is also important to be a good teammate who supports each other and assists in tasks that lie outside your primary area of expertise.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

  • Experience with other information management tools/applications than SharePoint.
  • Experience in structural information management.
  • Experience with SharePoint from a user and business perspective.
  • Experience in automation.
  • Multiple programming languages.
  • Work experience from IT management or IT development, preferably from an authority or larger organization.
  • Accustomed to working both in groups and independently towards set goals and timelines.

For the authority's mission to be successful, it is required that all employees act according to the value base that exists. The Armed Forces' value base safeguards the equal value of all people, fairness, and equality, and promotes democracy and human rights (read more at www.forsvarsmakten.se).
