About Unika

Unika's children's and youth accommodation is LSS accommodations where the environment and support are tailored to the child's needs. Located five miles south of Stockholm and one mile north of Nynäshamn, Ösmo is home to two of our children's services. These include a children's residence and a short-term accommodation for children and young people with varying degrees of functional variations who need support and assistance in their daily lives. We are now looking for hourly employees who will undergo training in the spring to work with us during the summer.

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Trained nursing assistant or childcare worker or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant field.
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience in documentation.

It is advantageous if you also have

  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.

Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Hourly employment, summer substitute Working Hours: Day, evening, weekend, night Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
