If trucks don’t roll around the clock, much of our society comes to a halt - and our mission is to ensure that it never happens.

As a service advisor at Berners Heavy Vehicles, you are the vital link between our customers – the transport companies – and the workshop. We offer you a social role where you receive direct feedback on your work and have the opportunity to make a real difference in the customer's everyday life.

About the job as a service advisor

In the role of service advisor at our truck workshop, you will follow customers through their entire booking process.

You will, for example, work with:

  • Receiving the customer and scheduling trucks for service or repair
  • Understanding and interpreting both the customer's needs and conducting a needs analysis of the vehicle
  • Creating a cost proposal for the customer and establishing a work order for the mechanic
  • Coordinating the work between the customer and the workshop
  • Ensuring that the work is completed on time and with the right quality, and providing status updates to the customer
  • Handling complaints and after-sales issues

The role involves contact with our engaged and returning customers - both through personal meetings and via phone, email, and lead systems - as well as close collaboration with our skilled mechanics and team leaders.

About the team

At the facility in Östersund, we have about 30 employees, so you are never alone with your questions; there is a broad expertise where your colleagues are more than happy to help you if you have any inquiries. You will be part of a back-office team that works as service advisors, parts advisors, team leaders, and service market sellers.

We are looking for you who...

To meet the customer and conduct a proper needs analysis, you need to have technical understanding and interest in how trucks work. Furthermore, you have work experience from a service profession and good communication skills both in speech and writing.

As a person, you are good at collaborating and building relationships with both customers and colleagues. You always deliver a high level of service by being accommodating and solution-focused. To succeed in the role, you are structured and have the ability to handle a sometimes high pace.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • C or CE license
  • Experience from heavy vehicles, the automotive industry, machinery, or another workshop

We at Berners offer

There are many development opportunities within Berners, and we want you to grow with us! In addition to introductory and continuous training through Scania, you will have the chance to develop yourself and your skills alongside experienced colleagues.

We offer a workplace with a strong culture characterized by our values: Joy, respect, responsibility, positivity, and engagement.

Benefits

  • Monthly salary according to collective agreement and bonuses at the departmental level
  • Collective agreement pension and insurance
  • Wellness allowance
  • Opportunity to apply for educational scholarships and sponsorship of activities for children’s associations
  • Employee discounts on spare parts, workshop services, car care, and car purchases
  • Opportunity to lease a benefit bike through Epassi BIKE

Working hours: Daytime Application: Applications are open until July 31, and we are continuously working with selection and interviews, so the position may be filled before the application deadline. We conduct background checks on the final candidates.

Welcome with your application!
