The goal of Meal Service in elderly care is to promote quality of life; we want to provide our diners with good conditions to enjoy and feel good about their food. The meals should offer social contacts in a calm environment and be something to look forward to.

The kitchen at Vita Sand is responsible for preparing lunch and dinner for all residents in the municipality, as well as lunch for food distribution. The kitchen employs experienced and well-trained chefs and meal staff. Here, great emphasis is placed on the quality of the food, which is prepared with good ingredients and great care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a chef in Meal Service, you will work with cooking for schools, preschools, and elderly care. The job also includes safely preparing and handling special diets and cooking in various consistencies. Additionally, traditional kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning, and self-control are included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have a degree from the Hotel & Restaurant program or equivalent education. You need to have knowledge of food hygiene, self-control, and special diets.

It is important that you are an experienced computer user as our orders are placed digitally. We want you to have knowledge and experience working with food in elderly care as well as knowledge of the dietary software Matilda.

As a person, you are responsible, service-oriented, and flexible. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. You should be able to work independently as well as in a team.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and great emphasis will be placed on them.
