We provide care in several areas: internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, and palliative care. We are the largest operational area at the hospital.

We have close collaboration between our departments. If you are interested in further developing your skills, you have the opportunity to try out more of our different areas. The various professions support each other in daily work, and we have a non-prestigious work climate.

Nurse for Ward 23 at Södertälje Hospital

We are an internal medicine acute care ward with 23 beds that are always open, focusing on infections and lung diseases. The ward has new and fresh facilities and only single rooms. With us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction based on your competence and experience. If you are newly graduated, we offer you a secure start to your career through introduction and supervision on the ward. As a newly graduated nurse, you will also participate in our New Grad program, which combines skills training, lectures, and group discussions. For experienced nurses, there are great opportunities to utilize your knowledge in many different nursing areas with us.

With us, you will have a broad foundation in your role as a nurse. The ward is characterized by a good work climate and collaboration between different professions. The ward's greatest asset is our knowledgeable and dedicated staff, led by coaching nursing leaders/senior nurses and an accessible deputy head of the nursing unit who supports you in your clinical work.

In the work on the wards, regular tasks for a nurse in an inpatient ward at an acute hospital are included.

You should be proactive, positive, meticulous, structured, and flexible. You have a strong sense of interprofessional teamwork and a genuine interest in developing care. Always with the patient in focus and an empathetic approach towards both patients and colleagues, where you distinguish between the personal and the professional in relationships.

Permanent employment. We apply the 24/7 agreement at our workplace, which, among other things, provides reduced weekly working hours for intensified weekend work and/or scheduled night work, but you have the opportunity to influence your working hours.
