Emergency Department Seeks Clinical Nurse Leader - Step 5 - Disaster Preparedness Specialist

The Emergency Department is now looking for a Clinical Nurse Leader - Step 5 with defined responsibilities and an interest in disaster preparedness.

The area of responsibility involves strengthening, developing, and acting as a specialist nurse in disaster preparedness through quality assurance of routines and promoting an evidence-based approach.

About the Position

In the role of Clinical Nurse Leader, you will work independently to drive the development of disaster preparedness in the emergency department. You will collaborate closely with unit managers, deputy unit managers, educational leaders, and other relevant functions both internally and externally.

Being a Clinical Nurse Leader means you have real and formal competence according to Step 5 in the Stockholm Region's competence ladder.

20% of your working time is allocated for administrative development, while the remaining time is clinical service in the emergency department. During major holidays, school breaks, and the summer period, the administrative development time is suspended, and clinical service will be 100%.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with specialist training in emergency care, anesthesia, intensive care, or pre-hospital care equivalent to 60 credits and a master's degree
• Supervisor training 7.5 credits
• Clinical experience in emergency care for at least 5 years.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

Experience in development and improvement work is an advantage. In addition to meeting qualifications, personal attributes will be highly valued.

About the Organization

Danderyd Hospital has one of the largest emergency departments in the country, with over 200 staff members. The adult emergency department operates around the clock for severely injured and acutely ill patients, primarily from northern Stockholm. We receive approximately 95,000 patients annually across Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, General Surgery including Urology and Orthopedics. Our emergency care building (2019) provides us with excellent conditions to develop the acute management of our patients.
