The Care Unit is responsible for all care departments, the palliative department, and ASIH at Södertälje Hospital.

We provide care in several areas: internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, and palliative care. We are the largest operational area at the hospital.

We have close cooperation between our departments. If you are interested in further developing your skills, you have the opportunity to try out more of our different areas. The various professions support each other in daily work, and we have a non-prestigious work environment.

The Care Unit represented Södertälje Hospital in the Magnet4Europe study, which aims to promote an attractive workplace with operational leadership that supports improvement work and has a strong nursing profession. We are now continuing to work with the magnet model to enable a good work environment and nursing development.

We are now looking for someone with an interest in emergency care who thrives in a workplace with fast flows. Our patients are primarily orthopedic and urological in nature, and we have recently opened emergency care places with a short length of stay of 4-48 hours. There are now a total of 24 care places in the department.

Our department includes both elective and acute flows with orthopedics and urology. In the orthopedic acute flow, we care for patients with newly acquired injuries in the musculoskeletal system. This can involve fractures of various kinds, as well as muscle injuries and pain conditions. In the urological acute flow, it may involve hematuria and urinary tract infections. In the elective flow, we care for patients coming for planned surgery. Many of our patients need surgery, and the focus is on pre- and postoperative care. In our emergency places, we also care for medical, gynecological, and surgical patients in addition to orthopedic and urological patients.

Licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare.

Meritorious:

It is advantageous if you have experience from emergency surgical operations.

Employment form:

Permanent employment, full-time, with immediate start.

We work with a 24/7 agreement that provides double OB supplements for night work, shortened weekly working hours for intensified weekend shifts and/or scheduled night work. Employment with only night shifts may be relevant for you as a competent nurse. Interviews will be conducted continuously.
