Sterile Technician for the Sterile Technology Unit in Ljungby

We at the Sterile Technology Unit (STE) in Ljungby belong to the surgical unit, which is part of the anesthesia clinic in Region Kronoberg. At the clinic in Ljungby, we are about 40 employees, and our STE group consists of 6 employees. The surgical unit conducts emergency and planned surgical activities with highly specialized patient care. Our mission is to provide instrument and autoclaving services primarily to surgical clinics but also to other internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities

You will work on all tasks in the sterile technology unit, such as handling instruments after surgery, cleaning, inspection, functional testing, packaging, and sterilizing instruments. You will work in the traceability system T-DOC and participate in development and improvement work. We work closely with the surgical unit, and all dismantling is handled by STE within the surgical unit. In your work, you follow procedures and guidelines to ensure high quality.

Qualifications

You are a trained sterile technician with good computer skills, awareness of hygiene, and good knowledge of the Swedish language. We also see that you are meticulous, service-oriented, have a knack for collaboration, and possess good communication skills. You have a positive attitude, are solution-oriented, have the ability to plan, and are open to development and change. Personal suitability will be of great importance.
